Construction Markets With the Most Demand Signals

Construction sites are one of the most durable porta potty rental use cases because projects need weekly or monthly service, handwashing, and route reliability. These are the covered states with the largest construction-worker counts in our city dataset.

Planning Rules Behind the Numbers

Events and weddings

Start with 2 units per 100 guests for events up to 4 hours, add capacity for longer events, add about 30% when alcohol is served, and include ADA units for public events.

Construction jobsites

OSHA minimums are a legal floor, not a productivity target. Many contractors plan around 1 unit per 10 workers, then add handwashing and extra service for heat, concrete, paint, or heavy use.

Restroom trailers

Trailers price more like equipment rentals than simple single-stall units. Expect stall count, generator needs, water access, venue access, delivery time, and attendant service to drive cost.

Methodology

The benchmark table is calculated from 4,184 US city records in the Porta Potty Guys site dataset. Each city record includes Census-derived location and market data, regional pricing tiers, local construction-worker counts where available, and climate/seasonality notes used to adjust planning recommendations.

The regional rows are simple averages of city-level benchmark ranges for each pricing tier. The CSV groups the same ranges by region so reporters, planners, and researchers can cite or compare the data.

These are planning benchmarks, not binding quotes. A provider can be outside these ranges for good reasons: difficult access, long delivery distance, after-hours delivery, extra service, peak weekends, luxury finishes, limited local inventory, or disposal constraints.

The canonical methodology page also explains what we do not claim: Porta Potty Guys does not own inventory or service trucks, does not guarantee provider rates, and does not replace official OSHA, ADA, state, or local compliance sources.
